본 회 허훈 명예회장 논문(Tx of infantile giant CALS c GPT), GPT라는 제목으로 J Dermatol Treat (SCI) 등재

본 회 허훈 명예회장은 GPT라는 치료법을 개발하여 피부과에 널리 보급하고 있습니다. 

그동안 GPT를 주제로한 많은 논문을 썼지만, GPT 논문을 SCI journal 인 Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy와 Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology에 실을 때에도 논문 제목에 GPT 대신에 high-fluence laser therapy라는 용어를 쓸 수 밖에 없었습니다. 

논문 편집자의 GPT에 대한 이해가 떨어져서 불가피한 선택이었습니다.

이번에 SCI 논문인 ‘Journal of Dermatological Treatment’에 기존의 표현 대신에 ‘GPT (golden parameter therapy)라는 표현을 넣었는데 받아 드려졌습니다.

허훈 명예회장님께서는 ’앞으로도 GPT를 발전시켜 더 많은 난치성 색소질환의 치료에 최선을 다하도록 하겠다‘고 소회를 밝혔습니다.

▶논문의 의의:

1) Infantile giant CALS (IGCALS)를 치료한 세계 최초의 research article이다.

2) SCI Journal에서도 GPT라는 용어 사용이 승인되었다.

3) IGCALS를 제거하기 위해서는 downtime이 있는 traditional laser therapy보다는 downtime이 없는 GPT를 사용해야 한다. 즉 downtime이 있는 lasetherapy에서 downtime이 없는 laser therapy의 paradigm shift가 필요하다.

4) IGCALS를 제거하기 위해서는 1세 이전의 early treatment가 필요하다.
